Mark Maxfield - Owner/Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Mark Maxfield is the Owner and CEO of The Cottages. He has been involved in the assisted living business since 2001. His prior experience was in managing similar operations for a different segment of population. His expertise is in team building, human asset management and companywide oversight. He has served on the board for the Idaho Health Care Association, the Community Care Advisory Council, and after serving for multiple years on the Executive Committee was elected to the Board for the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL), of which he currently serves as the Chair.

Jamie Wilson - President

Jamie Wilson is the President of The Cottages.  For the past 13 years, she has been helping to improve the operations and drive growth at The Cottages.  Jamie is responsible for running all facets of our business. She has a track record of helping to lead organizations by identifying strategies, techniques and tactics to increase customer satisfaction, improve employee retention, increase ROI and much more. After attending BSU, Jamie held several management positions for sales, consulting and receivable management.  She has more than 18 years of administrative operations experience such as strategic planning, communication management, financial planning, analysis and more. Jamie lives the company mission to Treat People Right!

Nicole Ellis - Operations Manager

Nicole started her health care career as a caregiver in 2010 and became an administrator in 2013. After working for 11 years as an administrator and later peer leader for The Cottages, Nicole was promoted to her current role as Operations Manager. During the time Nicole has been with The Cottages, she has received numerous awards and recognition for excellence. She was selected as the Administrator of the Year and received the National Malcolm Baldridge Bronze Award from The National Center for Assisted Living. She is currently participating in NCAL’s prestigious Future Leaders Training Program. In addition to these distinctions, Nicole serves as Treasurer on the board of the Idaho Center for Assisted Living (ICAL).

Becky Jackman, B.A. Communication (Public Relations and Journalism) - Director of Sales and Marketing

Becky is a successful marketing professional who has worked in the healthcare arena for more than 20 years. She has been with The Cottages since 2019. Becky loves working with seniors and values the lessons we can learn from them and their vast life experiences. She considers surviving–and eventually thriving–after the “covid years” to be one of her greatest accomplishments-as she was able to learn and practice new skills and creative approaches. Before her time in healthcare, Becky worked as a non-profit civic education and child-advocacy program director and grant-writer. When she is not at work, Becky loves being active, spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren and doing all activities in the great outdoors.

Lisa Spjute - Support Services Assistant

Lisa is the friendly, helpful person who greets people on the phone or when they walk into the home office. She has worked for The Cottages since 2016. She supports our locations and the home office with their administrative needs. She also creates the company newsletter each month. Before coming to The Cottages, Lisa worked at an insurance company. When Lisa is not at work, you can find her at a Josh Groban concert, or somewhere in the valley with her large family. Lisa cares for her 94-year old mother and she credits her work at the Cottages as helping her figure out ways to be helpful to her mom. Lisa says The Cottages is all about families; the resident families, the staff families and making sure they are happy as we help and serve each other.

Carlos Carcamo, B.S. Information Technology - IT Manager

Carlos Carcamo has been with the Cottages since 2011. He oversees Information Technology needs for all of our locations and the home office. He has always had a love for problem-solving issues, especially in the IT field. Carlos is originally from Honduras and speaks fluent Spanish. When Carlos is not fixing technology issues, you’ll find him outdoors, fishing, hiking, or camping with his wife and two children.

Jeanne McCrary - Director of Fun

With a job title like this, you can imagine how lucky the Cottages is to have Jeanne McCrary on our team! Jeanne McCrary has worked in the senior caregiving field for much of her adult life. Jeanne served as an administrator for many years and was excellent in this role. She is passionate about seniors and loves creating memorable moments in the lives of those she serves.

Travis - Accounting Clerk

Travis enjoys all things accounting and has added so much value to our organization. He performs a variety of accounting and financial tasks to support The Cottages financial operations. He helps maintain accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing administrative support to the finance department.
