The Cottages is proud to announce that Nicole Ellis, who serves as The Cottages of Middleton Administrator and Peer Leader, has been awarded the 2022 National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) Administrator of the Year award. This is significant and The Cottages team is extremely proud of her accomplishment. Nicole will be honored at the annual NCAL Day Awards Luncheon during NCAL’s Annual Convention.
What is the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL)?
The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) is the assisted living representation of the American Health Care Association (AHCA). NCAL’s purpose is to serve the needs of assisted living communities throughout the nation through advocacy, education, networking, professional development, and quality initiatives.
Further, NCAL works with the various states to create localized education and advocate on behalf of assisted living providers through legislation and other opportunities. NCAL supports the assisted living members through continuous support, and training, and is continuously searching for strategies to help facilities improve and grow.
Nicole’s Background
Nicole has been immersed in the long-term healthcare field for roughly 15 years and joined The Cottages team in 2010. She has worked as a Caregiver, Administrator, and Peer Leader. Nicole is a quick learner and has been involved with numerous healthcare groups that advocate on behalf of seniors. She has helped create processes and procedures that improve the quality of care that the elderly receive. Her unique ability to teach and train others has resulted in her being promoted to peer leader. Here she has the opportunity to provide support, training and guidance to The Cottages team of Administrators.
Nicole has a wealth of knowledge and practical experience that she has utilized to help promote the culture of The Cottages, standardize healthcare practices, and allow her team members to deliver their best work. She is a positive role model to the long-term healthcare industry and a true elder advocate.
